Individual Satyagraha (व्यक्तिगत सत्याग्रह)

A limited, symbolic form of protest launched by Gandhi in 1940–41, in which selected individuals (starting with Vinoba Bhave) openly courted arrest by publicly speaking against the war effort — a deliberately restrained movement compared to the later Quit India Movement.

Individual Satyagraha's deliberately small, controlled scale (starting with just one person, Vinoba Bhave, before slowly expanding) reflected Gandhi's calculated caution during wartime — worth contrasting directly against the much larger, less controlled Quit India Movement that followed just a year later.
