Din-i-Ilahi

Akbar’s syncretic ethical-religious order (literally ‘Divine Faith’), blending elements from Islam, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, and Christianity — attracted very few actual followers and is understood by most historians as reflecting Akbar’s broader philosophy of Sulh-i-Kul (universal tolerance) rather than a serious attempt at founding a mass religion.
